Gay Top Gun at Swedefest!

I have seen Top Gun more times than any movie in history. As a kid, I thought it was the ultimate guys' movie. I literally watched it every day for my entire childhood. I idolized Val Kilmer in that movie like most people idolize Jesus. When I grew up, I lost the edge, much like Cougar.

A couple of months ago, while debating what movie to Swede for Swedefest 8, I picked up the Blu-Ray version of Top Gun and made a discovery: Top Gun is the GAYEST MOVIE EVER! Shocked (and a little bit aroused), I decided to call my cohorts from Di60Y and tell them that I had found the perfect Swede.

My exact words: "It's so gay. It's perfect for us!"

My dream was to do a shot-for-shot remake of the volleyball scene. Everything else was just a bonus. Greg even made the suggestion that we should shave our chests! We did it together, and there was NOTHING gay about it.

Then we bought massive amounts of baby-oil to get us nice and slick and played some volleyball. It was as gay as my wildest dreams (minus Hugh Jackman)! The rest of the scenes were just as much fun to film. Thanks to some help from my friends Jordan Essweain, Jason Wada and Kyle Lowe, we turned in one helluva home-erotic swede!

The only bad part was knowing I wouldn't be there to see the crowd's reaction. Maybe next time! Thanks to our friends Bryan Harley and Roque Rodriguez over at dumbdrum.com for bringing such a unique event to Fresno!
